Meat Patties with Fennel
Ingredients
for the patties:
500
grams of ground beef
1/2
cup bread crumbs
1
onion, grated
6
stalks of chopped celery,only the leaves
1
egg
1/4
tablespoon salt
1/4
tablespoon of meatball seasoning
Ingredients
for the sauce:
6
small fennels
6
small tomatoes, peeled
1
large onion, chopped
3
stalks celery, chopped
3
tablespoons oil
1/4
tablespoon salt
A
pinch of turmeric
1/2
tablespoon sweet paprika
2
cups water
Preperation:
In
a flat pan begin to prepare the sauce by lightly sauteing the onion.
Add
2 cups of water, fennel, celery, salt, turmeric and sweet paprika.
Bring
to a boil.
In
a bowl, mix all of the ingredients for the patties. Make small
patties, cover with a small amount of flour, and lightly fry on both
sides.
Add
to the pot with the sauce on top of the fennel, and cover.
Cook
over a low flame for about 40 minutes.
